Having great evaluation and research findings and insights are good but until they’re shared with the people that will find them most useful, they aren’t being used to their full potential. I can help you take an audience-centred approach to doing that, crafting outputs that are useful for service delivery, fundraising, communications and campaigning.
Funding Programme Expertise
Having worked in grants management in the early part of my career I have experience of both designing and managing funding programmes and of evaluating them.

I have experience in conducting research involving sensitive topics, with marginalised groups and people with serious medical conditions, their carers, family and medical professionals.

Habitats & Heritage - External evaluation of the National Lottery Heritage Fund funded project ‘Inspiring a love of local places: Strengthening the Environment Trust's capacity to deliver’. With a focus on communications, volunteers and members.
FareShareUK - Managing the final evaluation for National Lottery Community Fund grant to increase capacity and efficiency across the network, including volunteering.
Funding Programme Evaluation
Plater Trust - Analysed all past and present grantee application and monitoring documentation and interviewed grantees about their experience of the grant-making process and grant outcomes.
Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity - External evaluation of the social tech focussed innovation funding programme Marvellous Nurse Inventing Room.
Local Sustainability Fund - External evaluation of the Learning Network to assess the effectiveness of the five learning network activities provided as part of the LSF Fund through surveying grant holders about their experiences.
Comic Relief - Analysis of the applications to Comic Relief's first Core Strength funding programme in 2016.
Health & Social Care Evaluation
Alzheimer’s Society, Side by Side programme - Analysed monitoring data from all twenty-six project sites; interviews with carers of people with dementia; designed volunteer and manager surveys.
Macmillan Cancer Support, Mobile Information and Support Service - Interviewing service users. Design and analysis of service user survey.
